Project Description

Sandpiper Cove Apartments worked with Floodproofing.com to install Flood Logs at all the vehicle and pedestrian openings in a wall surrounding the entire property. The Flood Logs provide a protection height of 7 feet.

The client’s biggest concern was pre-storm deployment. They originally selected a solid panel solution for flood protection that required 3,000 attachment points. The general contractor, architect, and owner representative met and decided that the solid panel solution would take too long to deploy and would not meet their needs. National Flood Protection helped design a different solution using lightweight Flood Logs and permanent wall channel mounts. This will allow the client to quickly deploy the Flood Logs when needed to make the site resilient to flood damage.
